Potential tropical development in the western Gulf by mid-October

Models suggest that we could see a tropical depression or storm in the week ahead in the Bay of Campeche, but the Gulf Coast will continue its rainy streak. Anything that tries to form will need to find a safe spot from wind shear, but it could form in a zone known for development in October.
