Tropical Depression Nine forms in the Gulf, Isaias coming soon after

The National Hurricane Center has begun issuing advisories for Tropical Depression Nine in the Gulf. The system will take the name Tropical Storm Isaias by Wednesday and could be a hurricane by Thursday. This system will track north and make landfall along the Gulf Coast as a Category 2 hurricane. The threat continues farther inland, as heavy rain is expected in the Appalachians. Cities like New Orleans, Charleston, Atlanta, and Birmingham need to be weather-aware.
